Mixed Emotions

My poor Nicole has been sick these past two days. She managed to keep her fever down until this evening upon going to bed. She got a dose of medicine and her fever dropped right away. Now it is the coughing I am worried about. She has a dry chesty cough that if is not better tomorrow, probably wont be, I will take her in to get her lungs checked. Last thing I need is for her to get an upper respiratory infection or bronchitis.

Today we received our orders back for where we will go in November. Ryan asked for VPU-2 here in Kaneohe, Hawaii. That request was denied and we are forced to choose between VP-47 in Kaneohe, Hawaii or VP-?? in Patuxent River, Maryland. VP-47 just returned from a deployment cycle which means if we join them in November Ryan will deploy AGAIN in June. Not great! So...I am leaning for Pax River. Pax River is located 4 hours and 30 mins from my grand parents in Virginia Beach, 10 hours and 45 mins from Ryan's parents in Georgia, and 11 hours and 45 mins to my parents in Florida. We would be able to go to DC, Bush Gardens, Sea World, New York City, The Appalachian Mountains, and many other places by CAR! So basically I have my mind made up, can you tell? Part of me wants to stay in Hawaii. I love it here, it is beautiful and I have a million friends. Plus I know almost as much as a local knows when it comes to where to go and what to see. If we move I have to start all over and I am the new girl on the block. Change is good and can be very exciting sometimes. So we'll see.

Well I am beat, and I am hoping I get a phone call with his decision. The detailer needed an answer on our choice within 24 hours so I think he was trying to shoot for tonight when he got off work. It is currently 5:30 in Japan so the decision will be made shortly. Praying for Pax River!

Flowers for Heros

For anyone who knows me I have always been a very dedicated person towards organizations and clubs I am involved with. This deployment I would love to do something nice for our deployed service members for their return home. So....I just emailed Ellen DeGeneres asking her to donate 350 flower leis for our Golden Eagle's return in November. I know this is far fetched, but I have seen many of her shows where she does amazing things for families and just thought maybe if she came across my email, she would help with this project. I plan on emailing and calling other companies and celebrities in hopes we can find a sponsor for this project. I think it would be amazing if we could thank ever service member in VP-9 for their continued work overseas.

Tired Eyes

Another day, another dollar. Spent most of the day with my lovely friend Carmen and her beautiful children.

Nicole did not nap today until the ride home at 4:30, and woke up at 6:00 to Mrs. Katie Brooke at the door for dinner. She was not a happy camper. I am pretty sure I could have put her in her bed and she would have slept through the night.

So tonight was taco thursday and KB joined me. Very nice to have an unbiased opinion on all the drama happening in my life. It's great talking about Navy stuff to an Army wife. Although Navy is better ;-) Really missing my husband tonight so it was great to have a friend come over to chat.

There has been quite a few things going on lately that I am not too happy about and I plan on nipping them in the butt this weekend. I won't mention what, but there definitely needs to be some damage control done soon or everything we have been working on will be non existent per the higher up guys.

I am pretty much typing with my eyes closed so I am thinking it's time to turn off the lights. I really need to learn how to put pictures on here and make words into cool links. Can someone comment down below to tell me how!?!?

Ah my toddler just walked in the room. She says she wants to sleep with mommy tonight. I'll let you know how this goes. :)
